Michael Uhart

Michael Uhart, Ph.D., serves as an Independent Contractor since January 2016 and has held various roles, including Associate at Ocean Associates, Inc., and Research to Applications Coordinator for NASA's Disasters Program. Prior experience includes tenure as Executive Director of the Office of Laboratories and Cooperative Institutes at NOAA from October 2005 to December 2015, where responsibilities encompassed managing NOAA's research labs, implementing policies, overseeing cooperative institute activities, and facilitating laboratory involvement in strategic initiatives. Michael Uhart possesses advanced degrees in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's Degree in Meteorology from Florida State University, in addition to a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics and Information Science from UC San Diego.
