Iselle Flores Ruiz has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Iselle is currently working as an Analytical Scientist at Ocean Diagnostics Inc. since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at The University of British Columbia in May and June 2016. Iselle also gained experience as a Biological Oceanography Laboratory Assistant at TRIUMF from May to August 2015. In addition, Iselle worked as a Medical Family Therapy Unit assistant at Hospital Ángeles Lomas in August and September 2013. Iselle also has experience as an Event organizer and assistant at Bufete Rodriguez Márquez, where they helped organize the first "Introduction to International Arbitration" course in Mexico City and performed various administrative tasks in July and August 2012.

Iselle Flores Ruiz has a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from The University of British Columbia, obtained in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Combined Major in Science (Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Statistics) from The University of British Columbia between 2011 and 2016. Iselle also obtained a high school diploma from ITESM CSF in 2011. Additionally, they have completed several certifications, including Laboratory Chemical Safety, Biological Safety, Radiation Safety, and Radionuclide Safety and Methodology, obtained from UBC Risk Management Services and TRIUMF between 2014 and 2016.
