Annette` Cartaxo M.D.

Annette Cartaxo, MD, is a seasoned pediatrician with extensive experience in various medical settings. Currently serving as a Pediatrician at OHI - Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. since April 2019, Annette Cartaxo specializes in integrative and nutritional medicine for children facing complex neurological, behavioral, and physical challenges. Prior to this role, Annette held positions at Atlantic Health Care System, including Pediatric Integrative Medicine Physician at the Chambers Center for Well Being from January 2012 to March 2019, and Chief of Pediatrics from May 2006 to January 2014, where responsibilities included leadership in quality improvement and medical executive committees. Additionally, Annette operated a private practice from February 1999 to May 2006, focusing on a bio-medical nutritional approach for special needs pediatrics, particularly in regards to Autism and ADHD. Annette's educational background includes a degree in Medicine from UMDNJ, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Montclair State University and a beautician license from the Natural Motion Institute of Hair Design.
