María Alonso Barca

María Alonso Barca has extensive work experience in project finance and corporate finance roles. María is currently the Head of Project Finance at OW Ocean Winds, where they have been working since the year 2020. Prior to this, María held positions at Les Éoliennes en Mer Services as a Finance Advisor and at PwC España as a Manager Project Finance and Supervisor Project Finance. Additionally, they worked at Columbus Infrastructure as an Investment Analyst, at Ingenieria del noroeste conducting financial feasibility studies, at S.A. de Obras y Servicios, COPASA in the Technical Office, and completed a summer internship at BBVA Corporate and Investment Banking.

María Alonso Barca has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Urban planning from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2008-2014). María also has a Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from IEB (2017-2018) and completed a program in International Finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2017. In addition to their academic qualifications, María is also a CFA Candidate level II certified by the CFA Institute. María briefly studied Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from 2014 to 2015.
