Cheryl Rees

Cheryl Rees is the Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing at OceanFirst Bank. Cheryl has been with the company since 2007, and in their current role, they are responsible for spearheading the strategic direction of the bank's marketing programs. This includes brand management, advertising, community relations, digital media, customer communications, public relations, product development, and corporate philanthropy.

Under Cheryl's leadership, the bank undertook a major rebranding effort, including a new logo and image. Cheryl also led the bank's foray into social media, with a strong presence on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Cheryl is an expert in media selection and has a keen understanding of how to best reach potential customers.

Throughout their time at OceanFirst Bank, Cheryl has been instrumental in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns. Cheryl was especially adept at navigating the bank through the financial crisis of 2008 and its aftermath. Cheryl has overseen product development efforts, introducing new products and services such as free checking accounts for personal and commercial customers. Cheryl has also developed advertising and email campaigns promoting the use of mobile banking and credit cards.

In addition to their work on marketing campaigns, Cheryl has also been responsible for organizing the bank's yearly customer appreciation event - an event that has become the most attended event in the bank's history. Cheryl has also directed all bank sponsorships, including a significant relationship with the Miami Marlins and FIU.

Cheryl Rees attended the University of Miami for their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Afterward, they attended Florida International University for their Master of Science in Finance.
