Marializ Nieves Maldonado has a diverse work experience. Marializ began their career in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they created and designed Excel spreadsheet templates and digitalized patient files. In 2017, they worked as a Biodiesel Preprocessing Research and a Chemical Explosives Researcher at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. In 2018, they were an Environmental Healthy & Safety Coop Student at Eli Lilly and Company, where they developed and completed a historic noise profile and database. In 2019, they were an Advanced Materials and Processing Intern at NASA Langley Research Center, where they identified strategies for boron nitride nanotubes to be dispersed within aluminum and titanium. Marializ was also a Materials Research Lab Intern at UC Santa Barbara, where they combined green monomers with degradable crosslinkers to make photocurable resin for 3D printing. In 2020, they were an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern at Stryker, where they designed an EHS system for a polymer additive manufacturing line and created 4 spaghetti diagrams. Currently, they are a Materials Engineer at Oceanit and a Manufacturing Engineer at L3Harris Technologies.

Marializ Nieves Maldonado attended the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez from 2014 to 2020, earning a degree in Chemical Engineering with a major in Chemical Engineering.
