Cassandra Bowen

Cassandra Bowen has a diverse work experience in the field of counseling and clinical services. Cassandra is currently the Director of Clinical Services at Oceans Healthcare, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Intake Director and Utilization Management Director at the same company from December 2022 to October 2023. Before joining Oceans Healthcare, Cassandra was a PACT Therapist at LifeCore Health Group from January to December 2022. Cassandra also served as a Mental Health Therapist at Youth Villages from September 2021 to January 2022. Furthermore, Cassandra has worked as a Counselor at Nettleton High School from May 2020 to January 2022, at Campus School from June 2017 to May 2020, and at Germantown Elementary School from July 2014 to July 2017. Prior to these roles, they were a College and Career Counselor at The Collegiate School of Memphis from September 2011 to July 2014. Cassandra also has experience as a Counselor/Owner at Lee Counseling Services from February 2006 to February 2011 and as a Counselor/Psychometrist at Nettleton School District from August 2001 to February 2011.

Cassandra Bowen has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Mississippi University for Women, which was obtained from 1995 to 1997. Cassandra then went on to earn an M.Ed. and EdS degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Mississippi from 2001 to 2006. Cassandra pursued further education at Mississippi State University, where they completed 50 doctoral hours in School Psychology from 2006 to 2008. Later, they attended Argosy University Sarasota and obtained 18 Doctoral Hours in Counselor Education and Supervision from 2008 to 2010. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at The University of Memphis starting in 2018. Cassandra also holds certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), but the specific dates of certification are unknown. Cassandra also has additional certification as PCMHT from the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
