Kelly Bruett

Kelly Bruett has a diverse work experience. They started their career as an Accounting and Metrics Intern at the Valpo Surf Project in 2015, where they also assisted with administrative tasks. They then joined the YMCA of San Diego County in 2016 as a Program Instructor/Lifeguard, where their responsibilities included planning and executing outdoor education classes and activities, leading team building initiatives, and acting as a counselor during the summer camp. Kelly later worked as a Content Coordinator / Social Media Fellow at the Valpo Surf Project, where they played a key role in generating programs and content for the organization, such as English classes, tutoring, and environmental work. In 2020, Kelly had a brief role as a Front of House Associate at Rose Foods Company before joining Ocean's Balance as an Operations Assistant.

Kelly Bruett earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics from Boston College, which they attended from 2010 to 2014. Following their undergraduate studies, they obtained additional certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from BridgeTEFL in October 2014 and in Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED from the American Red Cross in February 2016.
