Zeenath Sathar

Zeenath Sathar has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent position being the Head of Human Resources at Oceans since May 2023. Before that, they worked as the Director of People & Culture at CAKE Engineering from December 2022 to May 2023. Zeenath also served as the Head of HR at Axiata Digital Labs from October 2021 to December 2022. Prior to that, they held various HR leadership roles at ShipXpress, Wabtec Corporation, and GE Transportation. Zeenath started their career at Lanka Equities as a Management Trainee and HR Executive and later worked as an HR Executive/Senior HR Executive at Virtusa.

Zeenath Sathar has an extensive education history. Zeenath obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Australian Institute of Business in 2015. In 2021, they completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, specializing in Law. Zeenath also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Studies with a field of study in Human Resource Management from the University of Colombo, which they completed in 2013. In 2000, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance from the University of Colombo. Zeenath further expanded their knowledge in Human Resource Management by pursuing the NDHR degree from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). Additionally, they completed a Higher National Diploma in Counselling at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute in 2014. Zeenath holds a Claritas Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute, which they obtained in 2013. Furthermore, they are a certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile. In terms of additional certifications, Zeenath has completed several courses on various topics such as strength finding, effective meetings, performance reviews, learning program analytics, working with Gen Z, creating psychological safety, neuroscience for learning and development, work-life balance, inclusive organizations, coaching employees, digital body language, and interpersonal communication. Zeenath obtained these certifications from LinkedIn in 2022.
