Mattie Rodrigue

Mattie Rodrigue has a diverse work experience in the field of marine and coastal research. Mattie started their career as an Assistant to the Executive Director at Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries in 2017. After that, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maine, Orono from 2014 to 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Sea Grant Fellow for Marine Policy at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. Mattie'smost recent experience includes working at OceanX, where they held various roles such as Research Analyst from 2019 to 2020, Science Program Lead from 2020 to 2022, Head of Science Operations from 2022 to the present, and Science Program Director from 2023 to the present.

Mattie Rodrigue began their education at Arizona State University in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology. Mattie completed this program in 2014. In the same year, Rodrigue enrolled at the University of Maine to pursue a Master of Science degree in two fields: Marine Sciences and Marine Policy. Mattie successfully completed both programs in 2017.
