Eric Torreborre

Eric Torreborre has worked in the software industry since 1997. Eric began their career as a Software Consultant at Altran Technologies, then moved to LEIRIOS as a Product Manager. In 2004, they joined Calypso Technology as a Senior Technical Analyst, working in Tokyo and Sydney. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NICTA, developing the scoobi project. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ambiata, building tools and libraries to support a Machine Learning process. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Zalando, responsible for the Article Creation Stream. From 2016 to 2018, they were the Engineering Director and Lead of the transactions processing team at Symbiont. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Ockam. Additionally, since 2010, they have been a Speaker at developer conferences, giving talks at OSCON, ScalaDays, Scala eXchange, and LambdaJam.

Eric Torreborre received their Master degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble in 1995, having started their studies there in 1993.
