Phillip Edwards is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in commercial banking and relationship management across various financial institutions. Currently serving as Community President Athens and Senior Vice President at Oconee State Bank since October 2017, Phillip previously held the role of City Executive at Fidelity Bank, where responsibilities included growing commercial loan volume and core deposits. Phillip's career encompasses significant positions at SUNTRUST BANKS, First Georgia Banking Company, BB&T CORPORATION, and WACHOVIA BANK, where successful business development efforts and management of substantial loan portfolios were pivotal.
