Paul Warren-Tape has held a variety of roles in the financial services and technology industries. In 2020, they became Head of Operations and Head of Risk and Compliance at OCR Labs. In 2019, they founded and served as CEO of Biometric Vision, a facial recognition software company. From 2015 to 2011, they held the role of Head of Risk and Advisory at CUA - Credit Union Australia Limited and Senior Manager, Business Continuity, Head of Business Resilience and Security Risk, and Head of Business Resilience and Security Risk at AMP. From 2009 to 2008, they were Senior Manager, Aligned Risk Manager for ITG BFS MRB, IIM & S&O at Macquarie Group and Global Governance and Compliance Manager at BHP Billiton. From 1999 to 2007, they held various roles at Deloitte Australia and St George Bank, including Senior Client Manager, Risk Services, Manager, and Information Security Manager. In 2003, they were a Manager at Deloitte, Wellington NZ.

Paul Warren-Tape attended the Royal Grammar School, Guildford from 1989 to 1996, where they achieved A; B) and 12 GCSE's with nine A's and three B's in Physics. Paul then went on to the University of Exeter from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a BSc Hons in Management Science and Information Technology. Paul then pursued a Masters Hons in Secure eCommerce at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2000 to 2002.
