Sam Wurzel

Sam Wurzel has extensive experience in the fusion energy sector and technology development. Currently engaged with Fusion Energy Base, Sam focuses on advancing fusion energy initiatives. Previously, as a Technology-to-Market Advisor for fusion energy programs at ARPA-E, Sam co-led the DOE Fusion Crosscut Team. Sam founded Fusion Energy Base, which organizes information on global fusion energy projects and developments. Prior to involvement in fusion energy, Sam served as the VP of Online Content & Corporate Development at Altium, overseeing Octopart and its expansion in the electronic design community. Sam co-founded Octopart, which transformed access to electronic component data, leading to its acquisition by Altium. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from Brown University.
