David Staniec

David Staniec is an accomplished Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in the finance and technology sectors. Currently employed at Octopus Deploy since August 2022, David has previously held senior engineering roles at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. and Balyasny Asset Management L.P., among others, demonstrating a strong background in software development. Prior positions include Head of Product Technology at Credit Benchmark and various senior engineering roles at BlueCrest Capital Management, Barclays Capital, and Nomura. David began a career in software engineering as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers after completing a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from Nottingham Trent University in 2006.
