Luke Payne

Luke Payne is currently working as a Data Scientist at Octopus Energy Generation, focusing on green hydrogen simulation/optimisation and renewable energy predictive maintenance. Prior to this role, Luke worked as an Investigations Editor at Palatinate and as a PhD Researcher at Durham University, where Luke focused on offshore wind turbine fault prediction using data mining and machine learning. Luke also had experience as a Data Scientist Industrial Research Placement at Ørsted and as a Hybrid Energy Networks Analyst at RES. Luke has a PhD in Engineering and a Master of Mathematics (MMath) degree from Durham University. Additionally, Luke has held various leadership roles during their academic and professional career.
