Owen Metters

Owen Metters is an experienced investment manager specializing in deep-tech businesses. Currently serving as an Investment Manager at Octopus Ventures since August 2022, Owen leads investments from Seed to Series B. Prior to this, Owen was an Investment Manager at Williams Advanced Engineering from May 2019 to August 2022, focusing on Seed and Series A investments in deep-tech companies. Owen's career in technology transfer began as a Licensing and Ventures Manager at Oxford University Innovation, managing the commercialization of intellectual property and overseeing projects in Chemistry. Previous roles include Assistant Technology Transfer Manager and Research Assistant at the University of Bristol. Owen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Durham University.
