Rong Zhang

Rong (Ellie) Zhang is a Principal Computer Vision Engineer at Oculii Corporation since December 2017, specializing in object detection and segmentation utilizing deep learning methodologies such as RCNN, MaskRCNN, and Yolo. Expertise encompasses real-time object detection, simultaneous localization and mapping, sensor fusion, and radar point cloud processing. Previously, Zhang co-founded MultiCue Technology (Beijing) from April 2012 to September 2017, leading software development in 3D image and video applications, while also serving as a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm from January 2010 to March 2012, focusing on 3D video coding standards and real-time video conversion techniques. Educational credentials include a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, an M.Eng. from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree in Automation from the University of Science and Technology of China.
