Janice Hicks

AVP, Institutional Effectiveness at Odessa College

Janice Hicks is the AVP of Institutional Effectiveness at Odessa College. Janice has over 10 years of experience working in higher education. Janice previously worked as a Dean of Educational Partnerships at Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) from August 2015 to March 2020. Prior to that, they were a Doctoral Research Assistant for Higher Education Program at the University of North Texas from March 2011 to August 2015. Janice also worked as an Area Coordinator for Residence Life at Western Kentucky University from June 2009 to March 2011. Hicks began their career in higher education as a Residence Hall Director at the University of Central Arkansas from June 2007 to May 2009.

Janice Hicks has a Ph.D. in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Services/Student Affairs from the University of Central Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Science in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University.

Janice Hicks reports to Gregory Williams, President. They work with Tramaine Anderson - VP for Instruction, Ken Zartner - VP of Administrative Services, and Robert Rivas - Chief of Staff.
