Dan Melillo

Dan Melillo is the founder and CEO of Odeza Health. Dan previously served as the director of technology operations at Waystar from January 2014 to December 2016. In this role, they directed a team of 20 implementation engineers who completed all technical tasks and also steady-state operational support for 30 implementations across 125+ individual healthcare facilities. Dan also directed a team of 5 data engineers who built and operationalized new analytic technologies for providing internal users with timely, flexible, and structured access to data insights, allowing them to monitor product performance and track customer ROI. In addition, they directed a team of 5 production engineers who handled ongoing technical operations for all clients post-implementation, which included resolving 1,800 support tickets in 2015—an 80% increase in closure rate per FTE compared to 2014.

Dan Melillo has also established new SLAs and standardized processes to streamline the coordination of software defects between operations and development teams, resulting in a 4.2% increase in service availability from 95% in previous years to 99% in 2015 and 2016. Dan has also designed and implemented the data collection framework for a new support ticketing system, which provided the client success metrics necessary for accomplishing operational measurement and reporting goals.
