Rick Smith

Rick Smith is an experienced leader in logistics and supply chain management, currently serving as VP of Strategic Implementations and Operations at ODW Logistics since April 2024. Prior roles include SVP of Distribution and Transportation at Books A Million, where responsibilities encompassed managing logistics operations for multiple distribution centers, and Director of Distribution Operations at School Specialty, Inc., focusing on strategic vision for a growing distribution network. Smith held various positions at Essendant, including Director of Supply Chain Quality and Vice President of Operations for the Midwest, where oversight included significant operations for multiple business units. Earlier experience with UPS Supply Chain Solutions and UPS involved leadership in customer care, logistics operations, engineering, and operations planning. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Supervision from The Ohio State University.
