Rutger van Zuidam has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Rutger is the founder of Odyssey, a digital foundation that aims to enable collaboration through their open source web3 metaverse stack, Momentum. Rutger started this venture in 2016. Rutger also has experience in the education sector, serving on the Supervisory Board of Drenthe College starting in 2019. Rutger has been a faculty member at Singularity University since 2017. In 2010, they founded and advised the Cherrytwist Foundation until 2021. Rutger worked as an advisor and business development manager at NVNOM from 2014 to 2018, where they focused on developing the ICT industry in the northern region of the Netherlands. Rutger was the co-founder and CEO of Senanga, a platform that turns online ads into seamless shopping experiences, from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, Rutger served as a new media advisor at Hanzehogeschool Groningen from 2011 to 2014. Rutger also worked at Fundament All Media as a business developer and interim commercial director from 2008 to 2010 and as a firestarter for Projectwebsites.nl in 2008. Rutger began their career at Accepte, where they founded and served as the commercial director of Accepté/Paylogic. Rutger was also an intern at Ogilvy, where they worked as a digital watchdog.
