Nuclear Scientist Within The OECD NEA Division Of Nuclear Science And Education at OECD Nuclear Energy Agency

Oliver Buss is a seasoned Nuclear Scientist currently working at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency since October 2021, focusing on scientific issues and uncertainty analysis in reactor systems. With prior experience as Head of Section at Framatome GmbH, Oliver managed a team of experts in radiation protection and criticality safety, and played a key role in emergency preparedness and project design for nuclear facilities. Prior to that, Oliver held similar managerial roles at Areva, successfully coordinating resources and developing innovative project management tools. A Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical Physics from Justus Liebig University Giessen, Oliver also has extensive experience in high-performance computing and criticality risk analysis, having contributed to significant projects and systems in the nuclear industry.
