Paul Swofford

Director, Project Management at OFD Engineering

Paul Swofford has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Paul has spent the majority of their career at Oil Field Development Engineering (OFD), where they held various roles such as Facilities Engineering Manager and Facilities Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for the design and engineering of oil and gas production facilities, equipment skids, rotating equipment, and offshore topsides. Paul also developed specifications, standards, procedures, and data sheets, and collaborated with clients, vendors, and coworkers.

Prior to their time at OFD, Paul worked at Fluor as a Technical Design Specialist in Mechanical Engineering. Paul'srole involved working on the TANECO project in Russia, where they focused on packaged/specialty equipment and participated in technical bid tabulation activities.

Paul also worked at Toromont Energy Systems as a Project Manager/Engineer, where they specialized in custom process and gas compression packages. Paul was responsible for proposing and evaluating the technical, scheduling, and commercial impacts of change orders, as well as creating control-and-operation philosophies for PLC programming.

Before that, they held a temporary position at Adecco Technical as a Senior Engineer for GE Energy, where they focused on creating and implementing engineering change orders for gas turbine generators, specifically LM 6000. Paul also worked on an Oracle and MatrixOne-based documentation system.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked at Generon as a Project Engineer, responsible for the design, fabrication, and testing of custom electro-mechanical industrial equipment. Paul also troubleshooted issues and designed skidded equipment for offshore and hazardous areas.

Paul's work experience also includes roles at JetFill, Inc. as a Production Engineer, where they designed tooling and planned assembly lines for liquid-filled plastic part assemblies, and at Grinnell Fire Protection (Tyco) as a Designer, where they worked on special hazards deluge water spray system designs and engineering piping supports/hangers.

Paul'scareer began at Prex Corp as a Mechanical Designer, where they managed numerous custom leak test tooling/machine projects and designed machined parts using AutoCAD.

Overall, Paul Swofford has a wide range of experience in engineering, project management, facilities engineering, and design within the oil and gas, energy, and manufacturing industries.

Paul Swofford attended the University of Houston-Victoria from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended the University of Oklahoma from 1983 to 1988, studying Mechanical Engineering. Paul completed their high school education at Tulsa Memorial High School, graduating with a diploma in General Studies in 1983.
