Robert Cook

Robert Cook has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Robert is currently working as a Policy Director at the Railway Industry Association since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Strategic and Policy Projects at the Office of Rail and Road from October 2015 onwards. From January 2013 to October 2015, they held the position of Value for Money Audit Manager, Corporate Finance and HM Treasury at the UK National Audit Office. Robert also had multiple roles at the UK National Audit Office, including Value for Money Audit Manager, Economic portfolio from August 2009 to December 2012, and Senior Analyst from September 2006 to August 2009. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Economic and Policy Advisor (ODI fellowship scheme) at the Ministry of Finance, Rwanda from September 2004 to September 2006, and as an Economist (Government Economic Service) at the Department for International Development from November 2002 to September 2004.

Robert Cook completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Development Economics at the University of Oxford from 2001 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Politics from the University of Warwick, from 1998 to 2001. Additionally, Robert Cook obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI).
