Nirmal Patel

Nirmal Patel, CISA, currently serves as an Information Technology Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario since January 2022, handling the planning, execution, and reporting of external IT General Control and governance audits for provincial agencies. Responsibilities include conducting access and change testing, analyzing SOC reports, and modifying internal audit programs in line with current standards. Nirmal has previous experience as an Auditor on secondment, performing financial statement audits, and has marked various courses at the University of Ottawa, including Data Analytics in Accounting and Social Context of Business. Prior experience also includes a role as an Internal Auditor at the Department of National Defence, where responsibilities involved auditing pay transactions and training co-op students. Nirmal is currently pursuing CPA PEP with CPA Ontario and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Ottawa.
