Taylor Huyett is an experienced criminal defense investigator currently serving as the Lead Investigator at Colorado State Public Defender since October 2014. In this role, Taylor is responsible for reviewing evidence, strategizing defense theories, locating and interviewing witnesses, examining crime scenes, attending evidence viewings, gathering records, and testifying in court. Prior to this position, Taylor worked as an intern criminal defense investigator at Adams County Public Defender from September 2012 to August 2014, where foundational skills in criminal defense interviewing techniques and ethical obligations were developed. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver, completed in 2013.
