Ashley McLaughlin Leen serves as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General since June 2025, following a role as a Senior Associate at WilmerHale. Previous experience includes serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Patricia Tolliver Giles at the U.S. District Courts and various positions at WilmerHale, where initial work began as an Associate. Ashley also directed The Lulu Project, fostering talents and entrepreneurship among teenage mothers and vulnerable girls, and acted as a Technical Advisor for the Mwanza Youth and Children Network, supporting youth empowerment and child protection initiatives in Tanzania. Prior experience at the Federal Bureau of Investigation involved analytical and operational roles in national security and criminal programs. Ashley earned a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Italian from Boston College.
