Benjamin Johnson

Assistant Attorney General at Office of the Minnesota Attorney General

Benjamin Johnson is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General since September 2021. Previously, Benjamin held the position of Attorney and Shareholder at Nilan Johnson Lewis PA from September 2011 to August 2021, focusing on litigation in products liability, complex torts, and business disputes, while also co-chairing the firm’s Products Liability & Complex Torts practice group. Prior experience includes serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Larry B. Stauber, Jr. at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and undertaking summer and externship positions at Nilan Johnson Lewis and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, respectively. Benjamin earned a Juris Doctorate, graduating summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English and History, also graduating summa cum laude from The College of St. Scholastica. Additionally, Benjamin engaged in study abroad at Bond University.
