Jim Payne is currently working as the NMLS Ombudsman at NMLS since July 2020. Prior to this, Jim held various roles at the Office of the State Bank Commissioner, including Assistant Deputy Commissioner and Director of Examinations, Director of Licensing, Examination Regional Manager, and Financial Examiner. Jim also has experience as a Branch Sales Manager at CoreFirst Bank & Trust. Jim holds an M.B.A. from Baker University and a BBA in Finance and Marketing from Washburn University.
