Steward Beckham has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Steward started their career in 1997 as the Chief of Fiscal Services at the Baltimore City Fire Department. Steward then worked as the Associate Chief Financial Officer for the Government of the District of Columbia from 2001 to 2007. Following that, they served as an Attorney at the Law Offices of Steward D. Beckham, LLC from 2007 to 2009. Steward Beckham began their education by earning a High School Diploma from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1977. Steward then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1976 to 1978, although no degree or field of study information is provided for this period. In 1978, Beckham enrolled at Howard University and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting in 1982. Lastly, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law from 1985 to 1988.
