Mariam Ahmed serves as the Vice President of Compliance for the Americas at ofi, overseeing a global derivatives compliance program across multiple regions. Previously, Mariam held the position of Director in the Office of General Counsel at PwC, leading regulatory, litigation, and investigation efforts for a large in-house legal team. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Legal Manager at Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange, where regulatory compliance was ensured, and as Head of Compliance at Dubai Mercantile Exchange, overseeing regulatory requirements and compliance programs. Additional roles involved serving as a Regulatory Attorney at Foley and Lardner, where a focus on securities and commodities regulation was pivotal. Mariam began a legal career as a Legal Intern at Northwestern University School of Law, assisting refugees in seeking asylum. Education encompasses a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BBA in Finance and Math from Benedictine University.
