Mattia Pessina

Mattia Pessina has extensive work experience in Learning and Development roles. Mattia is currently the Head of Learning and Development for the APAC and EMENA regions at ofi, where they lead a team of L&D Managers and supports over 10,000 employees in more than 20 countries. Mattia collaborates with the business and HR to design and implement programs that drive high performance and growth. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Learning and Development for the EMENA region at ofi, where they focused on delivering L&D initiatives and leveraging global solutions.

Before joining ofi, Mattia worked at Givaudan as an Organizational Development Manager, leading strategic projects such as the transition to a new Performance Management approach and the update of Leadership Development programs. Mattia also served as a Learning and Development Manager at Givaudan, leading digital learning initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Mattia was a Learning & Development Project Manager at HRC International Group, where they worked on L&D projects. Mattia also worked as a Trainer and Consultant at Ligys srl, participating in the planning and delivery of soft-skills courses. Mattia started their career as a Partner and PR Officer at Nostrale.

Mattia Pessina obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2007. Mattia then pursued a Master's degree in History from the same institution from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, Mattia enrolled at the University of Cambridge and completed a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Historical Studies in 2011. Mattia continued their education at the Università di Trento and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Humanities (History) from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Mattia has obtained various certifications in areas such as language proficiency, digital transformation, customer-centric selling, facilitation, change readiness, innovation implementation, and organizational effectiveness, among others.
