Michiel Kokken

Michiel Kokken is an experienced professional in the cocoa industry, currently serving as the Head of Regulatory Affairs for the EMEA region and Head of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs for cocoa globally at ofi since September 2020. Prior to this, Michiel Kokken held the position of Quality Arbitrator at the Federation of Cocoa Commerce from August 2012 to December 2020, and worked as the EU Quality Manager and EU QC Manager for Olam Cocoa BV from February 2015 to September 2020, overseeing quality control and assurance for multiple cocoa production sites in Europe. Earlier roles include Quality Control Manager at Archer Daniels Midland Company and Production Engineer involved in cocoa projects, as well as Laboratory Manager/Technical Advisor for the Paprika Association of Malawi. Michiel Kokken holds a Master’s degree in Food Science from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor’s degree in Process Technology from HAS Green Academy.
