Richard Almon is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property law, particularly in patent prosecution and management. Currently serving as the Standard Essential Patents Portfolio Manager and Senior IP Counsel at Ofinno since November 2023, Richard previously held the position of Partner and Patent Attorney at Amin, Turocy & Watson, LLP, where over five years, significant achievements included drafting and prosecuting over 800 patent applications across diverse technology sectors such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and medical devices. Earlier roles included Patent Attorney positions at Jefferson IP Law, LLP and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, as well as experience in IP litigation at McDermott Will and Emery. Richard's background also includes technical pre-sales engineering roles, along with a strong academic foundation in Intellectual Property Law, Computer Science, and Political Science.
