Gareth Harper

Gareth Harper has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Gareth is currently employed at Ofwat as a Principal Economist, where they provide regulatory economic support and input to the organization. Gareth'sresponsibilities at Ofwat include devising new regulatory policies, estimating their potential impacts, and evaluating policy success. Prior to joining Ofwat, Gareth worked at NHS England as the Head of Pricing Compliance. Gareth also has experience at NHS Improvement, where they served as the Pricing Development Lead and Senior Economist, contributing to the development of new payment systems and overseeing quality assurance procedures. Earlier in their career, Gareth worked at Optimity Advisors Europe as a Managing Consultant and Principal Economist, facilitating business development opportunities and leading economic and analytical projects. Gareth has also held positions at the UK Ministry of Justice, Department for Work and Pensions, Home Office, Cabinet Office, and the University of Hertfordshire, where they worked as a Research Health Economist.
