Kate Svoboda

Kate Svoboda has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Kate is currently serving as the Chief People and Culture Officer at OFX since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at Genworth Australia from September 2016 to December 2020. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at Genworth Australia from June 2015 to September 2016.

Before their tenure at Genworth Australia, Kate worked as an HR Business Partner at Challenger Ltd from June 2009 to June 2015. During this time, they partnered with business units, provided HR support, and led the development of various leadership, mentoring, and coaching programs. Kate also served as a Learning and Organizational Development Consultant at Challenger Ltd from February 2007 to June 2009, where they implemented career development frameworks and supported managers with career discussions.

Prior to their roles at Challenger Ltd, Kate worked as an HR Development Manager at Commonwealth Bank from June 2002 to February 2007. Before that, they served as the State Learning and Development Manager at BreastScreen NSW from January 2000 to June 2002.

Kate began their career as an HR Consultant at Alexander and Associates from June 1999 to January 2000 and as an Executive Officer at NSW Breast Cancer Institute from June 1997 to June 1999. Kate's earliest role was as the Manager of Speech Pathology Services at Westmead Hospital from June 1996 to December 1996.

Kate Svoboda has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Human Resources Management from the University of New England (AU). Kate also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science (Speech Pathology) from The University of Queensland. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist at The University of Queensland from 1990 to 1993. Kate Svoboda has obtained certifications in Cultivating Cultural Competence and Inclusion, as well as Unconscious Bias, from LinkedIn in 2021.
