Don Black has had considerable work experience in various roles throughout their career. Don began their professional journey as a District Executive at Blue Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America, where they worked from November 1989 to June 1992. Following this, Don joined the Washington State Supreme Court as a Judicial Clerk for Justice Charles W. Johnson, from May 1995 to May 1997. In May 1997, they moved on to become the Owner of Ogden Murphy Wallace, a position they still hold. Over the years, Don has taken on several leadership roles within the company, including Managing Member from January 2006 to January 2016, Chair from January 2016 to the present, and Co-Chair of the Healthcare Action Team from November 2011 to December 2018. Throughout their career, they have contributed significantly to strategic planning, recruiting, finances, IT, attorney relations, and general administrative matters.

Don Black attended the University of Washington from 1985 to 1987, where they studied Political Science and Government. Don then transferred to Whitman College and completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from 1987 to 1989. Following this, they pursued a JD degree at Seattle University School of Law from 1992 to 1995, specializing in Law.
