Layal Abou Atme

Layal Abou Atme has over 15 years of experience in electrical engineering. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Electrical Department at OGER INTERNATIONAL since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Electrical Project Manager at the same company from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the electrical design of projects in KSA and France, including the Mayotte Island Airport, Dunkirk port in France, and the Robert Bosch Company offices in Saint-Ouen.

Before joining OGER INTERNATIONAL, Layal worked as an Indoor and Outdoor Lighting Instructor at EduDMG from 2015 to 2023. Their role involved creating courses on interior and exterior lighting and teaching students from various technical backgrounds. Layal covered topics such as lamps, lighting fixtures, emergency lighting, and lighting calculations. Layal also assigned a project to evaluate students' learning.

From 2016 to 2021, Layal served as a Senior Electrical Project Engineer at SYDEN. During this time, they led the design of electrical, low current, and fire safety trades for projects in UAE and Lebanon. Layal ensured that all projects were approved by relevant authorities such as DEWA, DCD, and Dubai Police in UAE, and the control bureau Apave in Lebanon.

Earlier in their career, Layal worked at Design Engineering Partners as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Team Leader from 2013 to 2015. Layal led the design of various trades, including lighting, power, security, and fire alarm, for projects in Qatar and KSA. Layal also served as the Electrical Project Manager for the King Abdullah International Conference Center Jeddah (KAICCJ) project in KSA.

Before joining Design Engineering Partners, Layal worked as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager at OGER INTERNATIONAL from 2010 to 2012. Layal was responsible for validating shop drawings and material submittals of electrical, fire alarm, and low current trades for the KAICCJ project. Their work involved coordination between OGER INTERNATIONAL and DESIGN ENGINEERING PARTNERS.

At ERGA Group, Layal worked as an Electrical Project Engineer from 2006 to 2009. Layal was involved in the electrical design of projects such as Sama Beirut, Al Swailem Tower, and Al Madina Hotel.

In the early stages of their career, Layal worked as a Technical Engineer at Polaris Systems from 2005 to 2006. Their responsibilities included site surveying, meeting clients, and preparing offers and pricing for various electrical systems.

Layal Abou Atme pursued their first Master's degree in Automation and Robotics at Ecole centrale de Nantes from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their second Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Lebanese University - Faculty of Engineering II (ULFG2) from 2000 to 2005. In 2008, they enrolled at the Cervantes Institute for a period of two years, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
