Tom DeSimone

Tom DeSimone, JD, CIPP/US/E, has extensive experience in intellectual property and legal counsel, beginning with a background as a biotechnician at Merck & Company. Subsequent legal positions include serving as an associate at Gibbons, P.C., and McDermott & Radzik, focusing on intellectual property and maritime law, respectively. At Robins Kaplan LLP, Tom advanced to a senior associate role, specializing in high-tech patent litigation and transactional matters. Currently, as senior counsel at MiMedx, Tom manages a diverse intellectual property portfolio and oversees various legal agreements while also contributing to data privacy initiatives. Tom is currently serving as senior counsel at Oglethorpe Power Corporation. Tom holds a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida.
