About The Role

Ogury is looking to welcome a People Operations Specialist onto our People Team, based in our Mexico City office! 

In this role you will drive HR excellence through operations, initiatives, office management and more for our Mexico and Colombia offices. 

You are a people-first person with a problem-solving mentality and operationally focused mindset. Our People Operations Specialist will be able to adopt a systemic point of view and provide counsel to our internal stakeholders effectively and efficiently.

Driving operational excellence and facilitating an employee-centric workplace culture is at the heart of this role and you are excited to lead these efforts!

This role will report directly to our Global People Operations Director, based in France, while working in partnership with local People Operations teams and local Senior Management. 

Based in our Mexico City or Bogota office(s), we encourage our team to join us in office, 3-4 days per week.

What you will do:

  • Manage the employee lifecycle (from hire to retire), including: Benefits Management and Enrollment, Payroll, Job changes and more
  • Responsible for data management, with a attention to data accuracy, compliance and completion within the People Systems & Employee Records
  • Responsible for designing the local / regional processes and policies and ensuring that teams are applying those consistently. Co-creating global coherence and harmonizations
  • Align with the Global People Operations Team on processes leveraging technology and contribute to the simplifications, refinement and operational excellence
  • Be the point person for al local legislation while navigating employment changes, systems updates, policy reviews or process implementations
  • Responsible for the management and alignment of local budgets, including review of actual spent and proposals for usage optimization, while partnering with local FP&A and People Teams
  • Oversee the rental contracts and all supplier contracts and agreements relating to the office (Cleaning, Printers, Supplies, Maintenance, Service, additionally oversee all vendor management (Liaising, cost control, efficiences, etc.)
  • Enhance and facilitate the office culture by organizing in-office events, supporting collaborative initiatives with the goal of unifying our team and providing a sense of belonging to our employees; including coordinating and managing the Summer and Winter parties
  • Apply relevant framework for keeping our employees safe and healthy in the workplace, by responsibly adhering to local legislation

What you will bring to Ogury:

  • Prior experience in a People Operations role where you were responsible for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, in addition to office management
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • A project management approach with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, time management, cost and expectations
  • Desire to help others and possess a customer-service mentality; you are a true team-player who enjoys working cross functionally
  • You have a “can-do” attitude- No task is too big or too small, you are more than happy to learn new things
  • Ability to easily adapt to change and can work confidently under timelines
  • Prior experience working in either Mexico or Colombia
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and HRIS systems
