Tony Long is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as General Counsel and Director of Tax & Economic Policy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce since February 2019. Previous experience includes a tenure as Senior Counsel at Honda of America Mfg., Inc. from March 2001 to May 2018, and as an Attorney at The Ohio Department of Taxation from 1987 to 2001. Tony Long earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from The University of Toledo College of Law between 1984 and 1986, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mount Union.

As the state’s leading business advocate and resource, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce aggressively champions free enterprise, economic competitiveness and growth for the benefit of all Ohioans. With 8,000 members ranging from small businesses to international companies, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business at the Statehouse. Founded in 1893, the Ohio Chamber is one of the state’s oldest business organizations. The Ohio Chamber is led by a volunteer board of directors that consists of 66 business leaders from all over the state. Our staff of 19 people includes lobbyists, political experts, membership specialists and knowledgeable support staff. The Ohio Chamber staff promotes the Chamber’s pro-business agenda with Ohio’s elected officials and manages membership services that help Chamber members run their businesses.
