Matt Keyes

Matt Keyes is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Communications Director for the Ohio Democratic Party since March 2021, where Matt manages a nine-person department focused on effectively communicating the organization's values to Ohio's electorate. Prior to this role, Matt was the Deputy Communications Director for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown from October 2014 to March 2021, executing numerous press events across diverse constituencies. In addition, Matt served as the Senior Communications Advisor for the Cal Cunningham for U.S. Senate campaign during the highly competitive 2020 North Carolina Senate race, and previously worked as a Communications Aide for the Ohio House of Representatives. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Xavier University, earned in May 2013.
