Joylene Kirsh has extensive experience in both the aging and correctional sectors, currently serving as a Provider Relations Coordinator and Long Term Care Ombudsman at District 5 Area Agency on Aging since June 2009. In this role, Joylene advocates for the rights of long-term care facility residents, focusing on improving their quality of life and care. Previously, Joylene worked at Richland Correctional Institution for a decade, beginning as a secretary and climbing to the position of Unit Manager, responsible for overseeing a 480-bed housing unit and supervising multiple staff members. Joylene's early career includes a position as a Legal Secretary at Calhoun, Kademenos & Heichel, where responsibilities included assisting with collections and court documentation. Joylene holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Ashland University and an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from North Central Technical College.
