William Cox

Deputy General Counsel at Ohio Senate

William Cox is currently serving as Deputy General Counsel for the Ohio Senate since January 2023. Previously, a significant tenure at the Ohio Casino Control Commission included roles as Deputy General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, and Legal Intern from August 2015 to December 2022. Prior legal experience encompasses an externship at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and law clerk positions at the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio and the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Initial experience includes serving as an Office Page at the Ohio Senate and an intern in Constituent Services at the Ohio Attorney General's Office. William Cox holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from The Ohio State University.
