Alex Penrose

Alex Penrose is an accomplished professional in video and photography, currently serving as the Director of Video and Photography for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics since July 2021. In this role, Alex successfully established a new department focused on internal photography while upholding high standards of video production. Responsibilities include leading a team of five, directing creative visual projects, and managing the entire photoshoot process. Prior to this, Alex held various positions, including Digital Visual Specialist at Vanderbilt University, where key tasks involved capturing and editing content for women's basketball, and Videographer at the University of Connecticut, documenting live events and producing highlight materials. Alex started with a multimedia role at The Post Athens and gained experience in research communication at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Education includes a degree in Communications with a focus on Integrated Media from Ohio University.
