Craig Bantz has a strong background in information technology and leadership roles. Craig is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities since April 2020. Prior to this, they held the positions of Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer at Ohio University from May 2015 to April 2019. From July 2013 to June 2015, they worked as an Associate Chief Information Officer at the University of Minnesota, where they also served as the Director of Technology Innovation for the College of Biological Sciences from July 2012 to June 2015. Before that, they held the roles of Associate Director of IT and Service Manager at the University of Minnesota. Craig also has experience as the Chief Technologist and Founder of Intelligent on Demand Information Technology (IOIT), a consulting group focused on IT solutions, from October 2002 to November 2008. Craig started their career as an Independent Information Technology Consultant as a freelancer from October 2001 to February 2003.
Craig Bantz has a Master's Degree in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota. Craig also earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the same university.
