Kate Hampel is an accomplished academic and visual artist with extensive experience in higher education and community outreach. Currently serving as Assistant Professor of Instruction and Director of Summer Programs at Ohio University since August 2018, Kate has also held various roles at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, including Administrative Director of Youth and Outreach Programs, Lecturer, and Instructor. In addition to teaching, Kate has been active as a visual artist since 2004 and has contributed to education through positions at multiple institutions, including Virginia Commonwealth University, Dominican University, and Keimyung University in Korea. Kate's educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Fiber & Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from Concordia University.
