Shanon Mendes

Shanon Mendes has had a diverse range of work experiences. From 2001 to 2005, they worked at Best Buy as an Area Manager. Following that, from 2005 to 2007, they worked at Geek Squad as a Double Agent. In 2010, they joined Caring for Kids, Inc. as a Graduate Intern/Licensed Social Worker, where they provided counseling for prospective birth parents and completed home studies for potential adoptive families. They stayed with Caring for Kids, Inc. until 2012. In 2013, they started working at OhioGuidestone, first as a Clinical Supervisor and later as an Assistant Director/Operations Manager. They are currently still employed at OhioGuidestone in their role as Assistant Director/Operations Manager.

Shanon Mendes completed their education in the field of Social Work. Shanon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from The University of Akron, where they studied from 2002 to 2010. Following this, Shanon pursued a Master's degree in Social Work at The University of Akron from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Shanon has obtained several certifications in their field. Shanon became a Licensed Social Worker from the State of Ohio CSWMFT Board in June 2011. Later, in December 2015, they obtained the designation of Licensed Independent Social Worker. Lastly, in February 2018, they achieved the LISW - Training Supervision Designation from the State of Ohio CSWMFT Board.
