Yamini Kumaran is an experienced researcher currently serving as an Electrochemical Research Intern at Ohmium since July 2024, focusing on enhancing water electrolysis through experimental development. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Albany, SUNY since August 2023, Yamini designs and characterizes nanomaterials for electrocatalysts and studies their interactions in AEM electrolyzers. In previous roles, including Treasurer for both the UAlbany Graduate Student Association and the Graduate Student Government Association, Yamini managed budgets and financial activities. Research experience includes work at Lux Semiconductors, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and internships at Menlo Micro, VayuJal Technologies, and Hanyang University. Yamini holds a PhD in Nanoscale Engineering from the University at Albany, an MS in Nanoscale Engineering from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and a BTech in Nanotechnology from SRM IST Chennai.
